CLINTON, MO — Clinton Police have issued an Endangered Person Advisory for a 1-year-old girl last seen Sunday morning in Clinton. Officers say Ezrah English was taken from her legal guardian’s residence during a supervised visit and left with her non-custodial mother, 23-year-old Jasmine English.
Police say the child was removed without permission. Investigators are looking for the girl, the people she may be with, and the white Lincoln MKZ used in the getaway.
What police say happened during the supervised visit
According to Clinton Police, the incident began on the morning of Aug. 30. Ezrah was reportedly taken from the guardian’s home while the visit was supposed to be supervised.
Police say Jasmine English left the residence with the child after removing her without approval. The advisory does not describe any injuries, but officers treated the case as urgent because of the child’s age and the circumstances of the disappearance.
Authorities have not said where the child may have gone or whether there were any prior issues connected to the visit.
The vehicle and the two other people police are trying to identify
Investigators say the pair left in a white Lincoln MKZ. Police said the car was driven by an unknown Black man and also occupied by an unknown white woman.
The vehicle was last seen traveling eastbound on West Short Street in Clinton. That detail is now one of the main leads officers are asking the public to help develop.
Police are treating the driver, the woman in the car, and the vehicle itself as possible pieces of the search. No other description of either person has been released.
Ezrah English’s description and last known clothing
Ezrah English is described as 2 feet 6 inches tall and about 20 pounds. Police say she has brown eyes and black hair that had been tied into pigtails with blue hair ties.
When she was last seen, she was wearing a light blue shirt and dress with ruffles around the collar, white shorts, and white and blue shoes. That clothing description is part of the advisory in case witnesses saw the child shortly before or after she disappeared.
Police say the child is one year old, making her especially vulnerable and dependent on quick intervention.
Description of Jasmine English released by investigators
Clinton Police also released a description of Jasmine English. She is said to be 4 feet 11 inches tall, weigh about 123 pounds, and have brown hair and brown eyes.
Police identify her as Ezrah’s non-custodial mother. They have not released additional details about custody arrangements beyond saying the child was removed from the guardian’s residence during a supervised visit.
That limited description is meant to help people recognize her or connect her to the white Lincoln MKZ. Officers have not publicly said whether Jasmine English is believed to remain in the area.
